1. How do I use thickening agent?
Dilute thickening agent with water by adding water to it or stirring it in a mechanical mixer at 200 rpm or above for more than ten minutes till the thick water is consistent and free of any suspended solids of thickening agent.
Add any other acid or deodorant to the above mixture to get a thick cleaning preparation.
2. Will it work in white floor cleaner preparation?
Yes, it is suitable for white floor cleaner preparation, toilet cleaners, liquid soaps, liquid detergent, other floor cleaners or any similar liquid medium with a pH range between 1 to 14.
3. How much dosage of water is to be taken for mixing?
Viscosity of the solution shall vary from formulation to formulation over different pH values. The suitable dosage is 0.5% to 5%; depending upon desired viscosity.
4. Why is thickening agent not dissolving in water?
Thickening agent is hydrophilic and still takes some time to dissolve in water. The high viscosity of the product makes it difficult to dissolve in water directly. You may use the following procedure for the same:

6. Will the thickening agent effect my existing dilution ratio?
The acid or deodorant dilution ratio can be increased with the addition of the thickening agent while keeping a high viscosity of the cleaning preparation. If the dilution ratio is increased to a very high level then additional whitening or coloring agents may be required to keep the appearance of the formulation consistent.
7. What are the benefits of using thickening agent?
– It increases the thickness/ viscosity of the cleaning preparation
– It acts as an emulsifier for increasing the homogeneity of the preparation
– It gives a cleaner and shiny finish on the surface after drying
8. What will happen after using the thickening agent?
Your cleaning preparation shall be thicker and you can increase your dilution ratio which shall help you reduce the cost. The use of thickening agent shall also reduce the chances of separation/ sedimentation.
9. Shall I mix the thickening agent in floor cleaner preparation directly?
Yes, you may add the thickening agent directly to the cleaning preparation or follow the procedure in FAQ 1.
10. Is the thickening agent oil soluble or water soluble?
It is soluble in both water and oil soluble preparations in the presence of water.
11. Shall it work for aloe Vera based cleaners or other colored cleaners?
Yes, it is suitable for most water soluble formulations. It does not react with any acid or alkali dyes.
12. Does thickening agent contain any harmful chemicals?
The product is polymer based and suitable for industrial use only.
13. The thickening agent does not dissolve in water?
Follow instructions in FAQ 1, you may heat the water to 60 deg C for faster dissolution.
